UNDEFEATED x Converse One Star Academy Pro
UNDEFEATED has been the undisputed king of the streetwear clothing world. Since their arrival back in 2002, the brand has formed close ties and collaborated with several large brands. One of those brands is the lifestyle brand giant Converse. The two previously joined forces last year, and now they are back at it again to bring you an all-new take on the One Star Academy Pro.
The UNDEFEATED x Converse One Star Academy Pro is the skate-ready version of the One Star sneaker. The shoe features durable vintage velour, which is a plush knitted fabric that gives the shoe a soft feeling. This design element is immediately contrasted by the shoe’s use of heavy canvas and suede detailing, which not only further increases the shoe’s durability but also provides a noticeable weight that will help keep your balance while skating.
The skating shoe wears UNDEFEATED’s iconic Five-Strike logo with pride on its metaphorical sleeve, which can be seen running down the sides of the shoe. And to seal the partnership between the two fashion giants, the shoe’s insole features the respective label’s brands.
The UNDEFEATED x Converse One Star Academy Pro come in black and dark grey colour palettes and will be available for purchase in late October 2024 at UNDEFEATED’s official website.
Suicoke x Midorikawa’s “FiveFingers” Collection
Moving away from the west and conventional, practical shoes – if you’re looking for a wacky but fun way to hit the streets, then Suicoke and Midorikawa have you covered. These Japan-based brands have teamed up once again for a truly unique footwear experience with their “FiveFingers” shoe range.
This seemingly Bigfoot-inspired collection is designed to capture the look of the iconic cryptid’s trotters. Coming in all shapes and sizes, this unique footwear is completely covered in faux fur, which adds a layer of fluff to the overall look.
However, do not be fooled by its appearance and think that this sort of shoe is only good indoors; these beasts can take on the city streets thanks to Vibram’s MEGAGRIP outsole technology, a rugged rubber sole design to survive even in the dense forests where the sasquatch is said to live.
The FiveFingers collection comes in three different silhouettes: a low-top, a high-top, and a “super-hi” boot. These shoes cost US$310 (~RM1,349), US$330 (~RM1,436), and US$450 (~RM1,958), respectively.
The Suicoke x Midorikawa’s “FiveFingers” Collection will be available for purchase globally on Suicoke’s official website on 26th October for a limited time.
