Some watches scratch easily or lose accuracy, but true durability is built to last. From rugged tool watches to vintage chronographs and military-grade timepieces, these are made for adventure.
They don’t just tell time – they endure it. If you need a watch that can take a beating, these are the toughest out there.
Gérald Genta Gentissima Oursin Fire Opal
If you love unique jewelry watches, the Gérald Genta Gentissima Oursin Fire Opal is one to watch out for!
Inspired by the shape of a sea urchin, this luxury timepiece is covered in 137 fire opal gems, giving it a mesmerising glow. The bright orange cornelian dial adds to its fiery look, making it feel like a rare treasure from the ocean.
Designed with a 36.5mm yellow gold case, the Oursin Fire Opal keeps the bold and artistic style of Gérald Genta’s original 1994 design.
The octagonally faceted sapphire crystal and slightly octagonal bezel are signature details that fans of the brand will appreciate. It’s a mix of classic craftsmanship and eye-catching elegance, perfect for those who love statement pieces.
The real highlight here is the fire opals, which come from Mexico’s volcanic depths. These rare stones glow in yellow, orange, and red hues, shifting beautifully in the light. Fire opals are also known as symbols of creativity and confidence, making this watch even more special. It’s not just a timepiece – it’s wearable art!
Underneath all the beauty, the Oursin Fire Opal runs on the Caliber GG-005, an automatic movement based on the Zenith Elite. It has a 50-hour power reserve, ensuring smooth performance while looking like a million bucks. The 18k gold rotor inside is even shaped like an octagon, staying true to Genta’s love for geometric details.
The Gérald Genta Gentissima Oursin Fire Opal will be available in May 2025, and pricing is upon request. If you’re interested, check it out on the official Gérald Genta website before it’s gone!
OMEGA x Swatch Speedmaster MoonSwatch 1965
OMEGA and Swatch are back with a fresh take on a legendary timepiece. The Speedmaster MoonSwatch 1965 celebrates the 60th anniversary of the original Speedmaster passing NASA’s spaceflight tests.
This new release flips the iconic black dial into a clean white dial with a grey Bioceramic case, creating a sleek, modern look while keeping its vintage inspiration.
At 42mm in size and 13.25mm thick, the watch stays true to the MoonSwatch series with some exciting updates. The dial features the original Omega logo, typeface, and hands, just like the 1965 Speedmaster. The grey Velcro strap adds to its space-inspired aesthetic, making it feel like a piece of astronaut gear.
The coolest detail? Under UV light, the chronograph counters glow in blue Super-LumiNova, displaying 19 and 65 as a nod to the year 1965 and the 60th anniversary. Plus, the movement inside has been modified to count 19 hours and 65 minutes, making it one of the most unique MoonSwatches yet.
This isn’t just another colourway – it’s a collector’s dream and a conversation starter.
The crisp white dial and black hands give it a clean, standout look, perfect for those who want a fresh twist on a classic. If you love space history or cool watch details, this one is definitely worth checking out.
