From sporty performance to incredible durability, the best sneakers help you be a boss wherever you go. But it takes truly innovative and exceptional kicks to make you own the streets.
Here are two dope footwear drops that you’ve just gotta cop to be on top:
Mizuno x nonnative Wave Mujin TL Mid GTX
Much like our feet, shoes come in various shapes and sizes. Some are designed to look fashionable, others to supplement performance, while a niche few can do both. Enter the latest collaborative work from Mizuno and nonnative: the Wave Mujin TL Mid GTX.
This innovative footwear combines the rugged performance found in typical urban-style trainers, while maintaining the signature hybrid boot-like silhouette. They feature a flexible and breathable upper that stretches to perfectly accommodate your feet. The Wave Mujin TL Mid GTX also features a slip-on design sock-like collar that will hold on for dear life.
Despite its seemingly porous surface and flimsy material, the Wave Mujin TL Mid GTX has been enhanced with a waterproof GORE-TEX material that can easily weather any unpredictable storm that comes your way. Pair this up with its Michelin-engineered toothed outsole, and you can conquer your next trek with ease.
Furthermore, it also comes equipped with suede overlays located on the heel and toebox of the shoe to reinforce the typical weaker points of the shoe.
Mizuno x nonnative Wave Mujin TL Mid GTX will be retailing for JP¥29,000 (~RM850) and will be available for purchase on 30th November via Mizuno’s and nonnative’s online stores.
adidas Jabbar “Suede Pack”
After years, if not decades, of waiting, adidas has finally given its fans what they wanted – a much-needed touch-up to its 1978 classic, with a little help from former basketball player, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The beloved German footwear manufacturer is now re-introducing its signature basketball shoes.
Dubbed the “Suede Pack,” this line features high and low-top versions of adidas’ famous sneakers that are absolutely perfect for scoring some hoops. As the name suggests, these trainers’ uppers are almost purely constructed with durable suede leather, boasting incredible durability and protection from any impacts. The Jabbar High is exclusively available in a bold royal blue colourway, while the Jabbar Low has a vibrant scarlet red and a grassy green colour option.
Naturally, it would not be adidas without the signature three cream-coloured stripes on the sides of the shoe. This cream colour is also visible on the heel tabs, tongue, sole, and laces. Almost all three sneakers share these features, save for the Jabbar High, which is the only one to feature a blue tongue. And to seal the deal, all adidas branding found outside of the shoe is stamped with gold foil, allowing it to shine under the light of the court.
The adidas Suede Pack will be available for purchase on 5th December via adidas’ official webstore. The low-top models will retail for US$100 (~RM444), while the high-top will go for US$110 (~RM488).
