Launched at the Malaysia Auto Show 2025 is the 2025 Yamaha Max scooter, priced at RM24,888. Pricing does not include road tax, insurance or registration and there are two colours on offer – grey and red.
For the 2025 XMax, changes are mainly cosmetic compared to the 2023 Yamaha Max, with lower ad wider windshield. Meanwhile, the front turn signals are now fully integrated into the front cowl.
Inside the cockpit, the previous multi-tier instrument panel is gone, replaced by a contignous panel with the right panel a TFT-LCD panel while the left panel is an LCD unit. Coming as standard if Bluetooth connectivity with Yamaha’s Y-Connect app.
The windshield on the XMax is now electrically adjustable, along with a light exhaust system and and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) that flashes the brake lights during an emergency stop. Also standard equipment is keyless start, USB-C charging socket and a 13-litre fuel tank.
Braking is done with hydraulic discs front and rear while two-channel ABS is standard equipment. Engine specifications remain the same with a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine displacing 249 cc and producing 22.5 hp at 7,000 rpm with 24.3 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.
