Building a brand for your company is one of the most powerful ways to receive new customers and maintain a loyal customer base. Here are some tips.

1. Your Name

When you decide on a name for your company, stick with it. Use this name when you make any calls that are related to your business. It is important that this name is attached to what you do.

As you begin using your name more often the space that exists between "what you do" and "your name" will begin to decrease.

2. Consistency

Any printed marketing material or online marketing contractual should display the same logos, exact colors, and similar graphics. Remember that brand consistency is one of the most powerful ways to establish credibility. Take a look at some large companies that you currently work with. When you go in to your cell phone service store do you notice that everyone has matching business cards, that all the marketing materials match?

3. What you Do

Your customers naturally associate your brand with "what you do." Building your brand is completely related to how you serve your customers. Make sure you are going above and beyond for every customer. If you are a Realtor or work in real estate, make sure every customer thinks they are your only customer. If you do yard work, take an extra step to make sure your customer is satisfied with your work.

Overall, building a strong brand can take time and effort. It is important to review your branding goals on a regular basis and audit the message your customers receive through advertising and marketing materials.
