Although driving traffic to a web site could be easy, driving quality targeted traffic can be very difficult to some of the web promoters out there, especially for the newbie.

There are so many ways how you can get traffic. Some are free and some are paid. And both can deliver good quality targeted traffic. You can even get free reports and videos about getting traffic. I won’t be detailing much about how to get or drive traffic to your site but because traffic can be obtained, first and foremost, by having the best, winning and effective marketing strategies.

There are five effective marketing strategies for home business owners, like you, that I know and these are the things that I will discuss so that you can drive good quality targeted traffic to your site and eventually could make sales for you and stay in business in the long run.

1) Don’t Waste your Time and Money on Cold Prospects or Cold Market

If you advertise in a cold market, it is like you are selling ham and sausage to a vegetarian;-). You will never make a sale. And if you do, maybe it’s your Uncle Bob or one of your cousins. You should be talking only to your warm market and better yet, to your hot market. Devote your time and money to markets where you will be profitable. Do this and it will be easier for you to build your business in your own niche.

2) Make an Effective Advertising to get prospects to buy anything you sell

Can you really get your prospects buy anything you place in front of them? Absolutely! By studying a little bit of human psychology, you can sell anything to your heart’s desire and your prospects will be much willing to see, try, and eventually buy products from you. We, as human beings, are driven mostly by our emotions. Almost all things that are perceived by our logical thinking are overcome and surpassed by emotions. You bought the clothes you’re wearing right now because of how they make you feel. You chose the car you’re driving because you feel proud about it. So, you can make an effective advertising by triggering the emotional states of your prospects in making your ads.

3) Define and Find your Target Market and advertise only to them

They also call this Niche Market. This is somewhat related to No.1. Generally speaking, you should know the types of people that you will be dealing with. For example, if you are selling health products, you have to find people who have problems in their health and offer them your solutions to their problems. Basically, there are two types of people in your target market. One is your customers who are just happy buying and using the products from you and the other is your potential partners in business who are willing to promote and distribute the products in the network. You have to continuously build relationships with these people to achieve success.

4) Find ways to Monetize those prospects that do not become your distributors

For those prospects that do not become your partners or customers, there should be something generic that you could give and sell to them – a valuable informational e-book, for example, that they really need in whatever they are actually after. By doing this, you are actually tapping 10 to 20% of business instead of just 2 to 3%.

5) Apply a kind of System that will generate endless leads for your business

Why do you need an endless stream of leads and prospects? You definitely need them for your business to survive. And if you have a good system to follow, you are likely to succeed in business. In network marketing, for example, a good and effective system and a typical business model is retailing an inexpensive front-end product that will pay for advertising and thereby generating endless leads for the business.
