As everyone knows, sacrifices must be occasionally made for the good of fashion. Well, Hong Kong-born Canadian actress Grace Chan (陳凱琳) is no stranger to doing what she needs to look good, in spite of her husband’s misgivings.
Recently, the 2013 Miss Hong Kong champion wowed netizens with her latest photos depicting her in a sexy red dress. Its style had them praising her looks, but apparently her hubby, Kevin Cheng (郑嘉颖) wasn’t too happy about it. Needless to say, she got him to change his mind quick!
Just yesterday (10th January), Grace Chan uploaded footage of herself attending a dinner event for the launch of the Geox Wooden Dragon CNY Edition sneakers. Her photos and videos showed her in a tight, red dress wearing said shoes. “Boldly showing off the “Dragon Shoes Look”!” she captioned.
While her photos garnered much praise, netizens were also curious about her extremely eye-catching dress which had slits at the side of her torso and hips, held together by golden rings. Some apparently speculated if she was wearing underwear, as the exposed parts of the dress subtly indicated otherwise. Well, it turns out they weren’t the only ones concerned.
Apparently, Kevin had something to say about her dressing when he laid eyes on her. “When my husband saw me doing things in this dress, he asked me why I was dressed so sexily. I asked: Don’t you think this dress (makes me) look like a dragon? Then he replied: What a nice pair of shoes,” Grace recounted, laughing at the exchange. “Good answer.”
Previously, Grace Chan had shared her concerns about showing off her body, especially after having three kids. However, it seems she’s gained more confidence since, much to the delight of netizens who cheered on her boldness.
We have to agree with netizens, Grace pulled off that dress beautifully. Hopefully she’ll continue feeling comfortable flaunting her looks in the future, and hopefully, Kevin will be a little more careful with his comments in the future!
