If you’re in Bukit Bintang, drop by Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to experience the adidas Originals x JD Sports Pop-Up! We attended the glittering launch and were treated to an immersive experience celebrating the authentic spirit and rich heritage of the brand, allowing us to delve into the origins of adidas Originals, while embracing its contemporary evolution. The 2-storey, giant adidas Originals shoe box offers the following activities:

  • Archive Footwear Display | Explore the evolution of iconic adidas Originals sneakers, focusing on some legendary Samba and Gazelle silhouettes.
  • Shoe Trialling | Experience Samba and what has made the footwear a staple of both sports and streetwear.
  • Interactive Quiz Game Station | Test your knowledge on adidas Originals and JD Sports. Answer a minimum of 4 questions correctly out of 8 questions and receive one JD Sports cash voucher!

There’s also a larger-than-life model of a Samba serving as a marker along the pathway to JD Sports within Pavilion Elite. Here’s what you can look forward to:

Zainal Abidin Concert Press Conference

The legendary Zainal Abidin will make his return to the stage for a concert at Istana Budaya this 30th September! During a press conference held recently at the Bunglow37 Restaurant in Bangsar, we got the lowdown on the upcoming show, and were also treated to a first listen of the veteran singer’s newest single, “Tiba Masa”, which is also the name of his concert.

The 63-year-old also entertained a request to sing his greatest hit, “Hijau”, and we can confidently say he still has the pipes to sing the fan-favourite track. Since he sounded so good during the press conference, we’re looking forward to his live performance in KL soon! Click here to purchase your tickets now!

Sephora KLCC Reopening Party

Stepping into the Sephora KLCC Reopening Party was like entering a beauty wonderland that only exists in your wildest makeup dreams. And we even got to capture our Sephora Journey with Polaroids!

We bopped along to DJ Ira, who kept the party alive with her infectious beats, as everyone browsed the reopened KLCC store. And to top it all off, the icing on the cake (or should we say, the highlighter on the cheek?), was a surprise gift voucher that allowed us to indulge in our beauty cravings right then and there!

Sephora KLCC, you’ve won our hearts all over again!

Texture By C3Lab’s Mid-Autumn Speciality

Known for its premium cakes and delectable desserts, Texture By C3Lab at Atria Shopping Gallery has been the go-to place for those looking to satiate their sweet tooth. We were front and centre for the dessert-maker’s unveiling of its Mid-Autumn Mooncake Collection 2023, which features a set of 4-flavoured petit gateau with an edible chocolate topper that has a whimsical bunny design on it. According to Chef Chong Ko Wai, the Mid-Autumn dessert was inspired by the East-meets-West concept of mixing refreshing, fruity layers (Matcha Mango) that Asians love, with popular European flavours (including Blackberry Tea Chocolate).

In addition to a wide array of desserts, Texture By C3Lab also offers savoury mains (such as their Big Breakfast set, Croissant with Beef Bacon & Egg Mayo, Sourdough Toast with Chicken Pesto), seasonal and hand-brewed specialty coffee, tea, and refreshing beverages. Fret not if you don’t live in Petaling Jaya – Texture By C3Lab will be opening another outlet at TRX in November. Here’s what went down during the launch:

After covering the press conference of the Japanese Film Festival 2023, where we were treated to previews of movies to be screened at Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) in major cities nationwide, we attended the recent opening ceremony at GSC Mid Valley Megamall.

The evening was filled with not only delicious Japanese savoury food, but some tasty ice cream too! The event was attended by many VIPs, including an honoured guest – the director of “Small, Slow But Steady”,  Shô Miyake. It was a full house at the cinema hall and everyone was looking forward to the screening of the honoured guest’s movie, and we absolutely enjoyed it.
