During a recent TVBS interview, Taiwanese actress Tian Wa (恬娃) shared intimate details about her personal life, including a remarkable 17-year affair with a married man. The 72-year-old actress, currently promoting her film “Finding Virginity” (找到處女), provided an unfiltered look into this significant chapter of her life.
The actress described how the married man, who owned a funeral service company, came into her life. “At the time, I was freshly divorced and in need of a new home. He offered to help me with both the house and an allowance,” she explained. The affair, which lasted nearly two decades, was characterised by a complex arrangement.
“He loved his family very much and couldn’t break his promises. When he went home, I was cut off but when he was outside, he was mine,” she said. Despite the unconventional nature of their relationship, the actress expressed a deep sense of contentment with the arrangement. Interestingly, she revealed that the man’s wife was aware of the affair. The relationship eventually ended when the man chose to focus on his family. The actress remarked, “People say I was a mistress, but the best time of my life was when I was a mistress.”
Today, Tian Wa remains active in the dating world, receiving messages from admirers on Facebook. “I only reply if I’m interested,” she said. She also addressed how she handles inappropriate messages, stating, “I ignore and block the sender. That’s inappropriate,” reinforcing her commitment to respectful boundaries in her personal life.
