Bitcoin is not digital gold, and Ray Dalio was right! In this video I discuss the three points Ray Dalio makes in a recent Twitter post. He tweeted that:
1) The use case for Bitcoin, and cryptocurrenties in general, were poor as a medium of exchange. That includes what PayPal recently announced with regards to selling and buying crypto, and the fact that this poor use case is the same for physical gold and silver.
2) Bitcoinโs claim that it is a store of value is largely unprovenโunlike gold. Goldโs intrinsic value has stood the test of time.
3) Governments will make Bitcoin illegal and ban it if they ever deem it a significant threat. I somewhat disagree with Ray Dalio on this last point. Watch the video to see WHY (hint: CBDCs)
