90% of the business models people develop require the owner to be present 90% of the time. I most cases the business will never grow past the owners skills and efforts. This is an un-sustainable business model .. it absolutely lead to business failure.
I know this first hand, my father was a restaurant owner, was also the chef. For 30 years I watched my dad work 16 hours day slaving over the grill. At age 55 my father was forced to retire due to health reason, he literally almost worked himself to death. Do not let this happen to you.
If this is you, here are some steps you need to take to reverse your situation:
1. Give up control: If it requires your hands to do the task, outsource. Stop, trying to justify the cost. Find the lowest possible cost and go with it.
2. Teach others your skills. Write out the task and make it duplicatable. Make sure it is the effective and efficient way of doing the task.
3. Make an audio recording of the task. This way the person performing the task can hear your point of view as they perform the task
4. Build on strengths and eliminate the bad. This includes firing people when they do not meet your expectations.
5. The next step would be to replace you as the manager by hiring an manager.
6. Spend your time filled with things that excite you. Enjoy life now.
By using an outsource business model you can accomplish much more with your business. It may even save your life.
