Esther Berkelaar heads up Rabobank’s Agri Trade and Commodity Finance team for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. For Agriterra she went to Nepal where she visited the Sindhupalchowk Coffee Cooperative Union. The main objective of her assignment was to develop 3 years business plan for SCCU. SCCU would like to increase its output on the back of a business plan which will focus on both the upstream (production) as well as the downstream (processing and marketing / sales) parts of the coffee chain.
