Cops seek help of 8 men in probe into rioting at Genting club

KUANTAN: Police are looking for eight men involved in a rioting case at a club in Genting Highlands last Saturday.

Pahang police chief Yahaya Othman said the eight were revealed to be involved in the riot after further inspection of the club’s closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage.

“Based on our checks,  there are eight more men involved in the incident who are still at large,” he said in a statement.

Police hope the eight will come forward to help in their investigation.

They are Lim Yong Sen, 43, from Taman Kempas Utama, Tay Kim Dar, 44, from Taman Sri Lalang, Kota Tinggi, and Ong Jun Chuan, 39, from Taman Desa Kempas, all of Johor; Ivan Koh, 23, from Taman Bayu Perdana, Klang, and Hos Yin Bin, 46, from Pandan Jaya, both of Selangor; Khor Soon Tit, 24, from Taman Bakap Indah, Sungai Bakap, and Tan Chun Hou, 22, from Taman Impian Indah Alma, Bukit Mertajam, both of Penang; and Swe Kah Fai, 25, from Pasir Bogak, Pangkor, Perak.

He said four other men had been arrested previously and charged in the Temerloh magistrates’ court.

“All four pleaded guilty and were released on bail of RM2,200 while waiting for the case mention on April 17.”

He urged those with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
