Court allows creditor’s petition to wind up MYAirline

PETALING JAYA: The Shah Alam High Court has allowed a winding-up petition by a creditor of now-defunct airline operator MYAirline Sdn Bhd .

Corporate Information Travel Sdn Bhd (CIT) obtained a judgment at the Kuala Lumpur sessions court for about RM240,000 on Feb 26 this year.

Judicial Commissioner Raja Rozela Raja Toran has also allowed the petitioner to appoint Tee Guan Pian as liquidator and costs of RM5,000 to be paid out of the assets of MYAirline.

Lawyer Muralee Menon from M Menon & Partners, when contacted, said the petition was unopposed.

On June 27, FMT reported that 213 investors filed a civil suit against MYAirline co-founder Goh Hwan Hua at the High Court in Shah Alam over an alleged fraudulent investment scheme.
