Fake Panadol, its already happening back in the 80..

  3. Johnny Ceballos says

Fun fact: Shopee, a Singaporean company is one of ecommerce platforms in the Philippines that promotes the proliferation of counterfeit products in the market.

  4. Johnny Ceballos says

I don't have a problem with other media outfits like Al Jazeera making documentaries of the problems in my home country Philippines. But with CNA, it pisses me off. It's not that I'm denial of the issues we have here but it's more on the tone and style of their documentaries. It sounds to me like "you neighbors! poor, corrupt, disfunctional! We, perfect!" Right, Malaysian and Indonesian brothers?

  5. Dr PK says

Fake medicine and things which could have a serious adverse effect on human health should be treated as the way illicit drugs or criminal activities are treated in the country. In countries like Malaysia and Indonesia, it could be death sentence and I believe they deserve it as they kill people.
Only heavy punishment would deter them and if not they deserve it.

  6. Why not approach the source instead of the retailers???

  7. dah tau lama dah..i would rather break my pocket buying expensive merchandizes from trusted merchant than cheap unworthy sellers…not to brag or being a show off but expensive items from trusted sellers worth every penny and life plus it last longer than the cheap one..supporting counterfeit products means supporting /human trafficking/prostitution and terrorism..It is one of the topic in AML@Anti Money Laundering

I'm seeing police in the news destroying these fake goods but yet I still see these goods being sold everywhere. If it's easy for me to obtain then what's the point 😂

  17. Vister says

Counterfeit products are everywhere. Even in the USA you can find poor quality masks sold as N95 during the pandemic. Have you check your olive oils? They may not 100% olive oils and that is true even for well-known brands.

  18. My THANK YOU site! says

Counterfeit medication! Now that is going to far! That is risking lives

  21. Daniel CH says

29:55 methanol *is* an alcohol. But you can't drink it. The alcohol you wan't is ethanol. When distillation is done wrong, methanol is left in the product. Smuggled alcohol is perfectly fine. They're cheap because the tax man wasn't paid his duty. Alcohol is so expensive in Malaysia because of the sin tax.

  22. The Exile says

When starting lazada and shopee these 2 platform have little to no fake item. Once all become huge there are lots of fake item. On both platforms. Even those preferred seller also selling fake item. Mask etc. And some of them even lie and say is original. A lot of Malaysian use this 2 platform to shop. So if wanna say counterfeit online. I think they should do an internal check on the seller and their products to ensure 100% original cause from the way I see it. There fake item are getting more and some sell directly from China.

Bought a hardisk from shopee. Preferred from China. And recommended by shopee as well from the tab. And is most selling hardisk. Hardisk came and use it for 3 days spoiled. It came with original packaging qr code. Original box . Suppose to be western digital hardsik. After I open the casing inside is a Toshiba hardisk.

After long argument with seller. And I request for refund from shopee which took a long time. I got my refund back and exclude shipping. So I lost money. And shopee didn't even compensate anything. And till now the shop and the item still going strong. And a card come with item. Says that you need to give 5 star and good comment if not your warranty is voided. After I report to shopee and I saw some comments also say it's fake. Shopee didn't even take any action.

It's top seller. And top selling item. How can this even be allow.

Bought from lazada laptop RAM. Item never received someone fake my signature and claim the parcel. What is worse is the process of getting back my money is a hassle. Is way worse than shopee. And also there are also fake item on lazada.

    And fake comments as well.

  23. Marie Katherine says

I don’t care if my bag or shoes are knock-offs. You don’t need to go to Malaysia to get them! I do care if my food, medicines, or certain products that, if not properly made, are unsafe.

  24. V Patel says

What means of crazy? I gave u ultimately rediscovery. Vimal.

  25. Syepha AlHabshee says

This makes me so mad. Producing counterfeit foods, beverages and medicines is so inhuman. Yet, I love the fact that he said it's better to use automation detection rather than human evaluation on counterfeit products that lead to more corruptions. It's true sometimes that's the only way to build integrity I guess. LOL😆

  26. shanessy888 says

Penalty is soft hence the repeat offending. The shop should be close 🤔

  27. Mandala Om says

    Thanks CNA undercover 👍

  28. Deidra Dahl says

They continue breaking the law,''''' because the law has no teeth, in our area, after first warning, then huge fine and jail, they also go around with a loud speaker, and notice on the cellphones, to the public, next offence, the business is closed for good, vendors are afraid of the consequences, and people are aware

  29. Aida Hoe says

Singapore is full of fake people

  30. Margaret Norris says

It does not matter if face masks are real or fake none of them work they won't protect you from anything!

  31. Harry Potter says

All mask from china are fake

  32. Janka Vlogs says

So we need to produce our own food I guess to avoid fake products.

  33. Sam Sung says

fake when malaysia import at shopee item from china…. not malaysia but chinese fake

  34. Premium Flow says

The video would make a better impression without the drama music and without the tendency to make everything mega dramatic, which is quite annoying while watching.

  35. Premium Flow says

You might also mention that one of the reasons for counterfeits is the desire of some companies to make supernormal profits. For example, Abercrombie & Fitch takes 9$ sport coats manufactured in Asia and sells them at retail for $500. Doesn’t that incentivize the manufacturers or neighboring manufacturers to sell the same sport coats for $70, be it counterfeits or not?

  36. Robo M says

Producing fake masks for a quick profit. Indirectly giving ammo to the anti-vaxxers, "pAkai maSK puN kEna COVID, iNI semUa koNspIRASI".

  37. El Luminous says

$35 bottle at major retail that gets them in bulk , and you see somewhere else in a corner shop at $10, come on now… thats a sure ticket to get blind or worse

  38. El Luminous says

that camera is like the huge hat in the simpsons

  39. Bretton Ferguson says

We got home made face masks in the USA too. Lots of people wear them. Even the masks from the pharmacies like Walgreens, CVS, or Rite Aid are no good. The elastic that goes over your ears does not keep the mask tight. I'm not an expert, but how well can a mask work when the mask is loose and there's a gap all around so the air isn't even going through the mask?
EDIT: Most of the food in the US is not what it claims to be. Almost everything is made from corn oil. Cereals have plastic as filler. This is all 100% legal. Labeling laws are very lax.

  40. BLWK says

Faking face masks and medications is an extremely cruel way to make money and a very serious criminal offence too…warrant the death penalty for these heartless animals….they are even worse then those murderers in jail awaiting death sentence …

  41. Robert Anthony Bermudez says

    Malaysia, truly Asia!

  42. El Toro says

16:27 No need to check the color, taste, smell, etc. Immediately the $5 Vigra is fake. Nobody sells real Viagra for $5. Like the girl said, I don't it's real or fake, important, it is cheap. If you go to a grocery shop to buy medicine with peanuts, you think it's real or not. Common sense, right?

  43. BizNeat says

I once purchased what I think was a fake Mamypoko premie diaper. I was desperately looking for it and the baby retaill shop I used to buy from were out of stock. So I bought from a seller on Shopee. My baby wore it and it disintegrated so fast after just 1 hr of wearing. For eyeshadows, the counterfeits are usually with better pigmentation but probably full of non approved color pigments.

  44. austrian_snapper says

thats not fake alcohol, he just didnt pay the taxes xD alcohol is ridicolous expensive in malaysia…..

  45. Why are the men dressed so freely, in shirts and shorts, but the women have to be completely covered up?
Why does islam sexualise women's bodies so much?

  46. Joey says

I think with Malaysians, so many are so impoverished that some folks just want to make some money (e.g. to feed their kids or whatever) and then any consumers want to save as much as possible so they buy counterfeit goods. At the same time, in terms of fashion, they want to be seen as higher class or more trendy than they necessarily are, so they buy counterfeits.

  47. Elaine Michelle T says

I am shocked at seeing all those young lady shoppers saying they do not care if the clothing are real or fake. 😮
