KUALA LUMPUR: Tony Pua, who was summoned by the police for an investigation under the Sedition Act, says that DAP does not need to publicly declare their support for him in this matter.
“The important thing is DAP leaders are exercising their duties in the unity government. That to me is the most important thing.
“There doesn’t always need to be announcements. What you want to do is resolve the issue, not exacerbate it,” he said while addressing the media after the investigation.
The former DAP MP said that he will provide his laptop to the police, who seek to confiscate it.
“They also requested access to my Facebook account. I don’t know why, but I have to provide it,” he said.
Pua said that the investigation appears to be a “waste of time”, particularly for the police department.
