EPF To Conduct System Upgrade; Online Services Unavailable From 17 To 20 November

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF, otherwise known as KWSP) has announced that it will undergo a four-day system upgrade from 17 to 20 November 2023, with the aim of improving IT efficiency and reinforcing its long-term system resilience. It noted that the process will result in a temporary disruption to its online services, whereby users will not be able to access their accounts or conduct transactions.

The federal statutory body added that its Contact Management Centre will also be temporarily unavailable during the upgrade, though EPF branches nationwide will remain open. However, any transactions made on-location will only be completed after the service adjustment period.

In light of this, the EPF is encouraging members and employers to plan their financial needs accordingly ahead of the maintenance period, and to visit the EPF branch when the system becomes available on 21 November 2023. All pending transactions or requests will be processed after the upgrade, it reiterated.

“We acknowledge that this may cause some inconvenience,” the organisation said in the announcement. “However, we envisage this upgrade will result in a more efficient and robust infrastructure, offering substantial benefits.”
