Chaos can be seen as a property of a complex system whose behaviour is so unpredictable as to appear random, owing to its great sensitivity to small changes in conditions. One such complex system is Malaysian traffic, truly one of the constants of the universe.
At any given moment, someone somewhere is getting double parked, road raged, or both at the same time. Or it could be that the spider-verse has a version where Peter is a police officer. All of this and a little more in viral moments this week, the beauty of Malaysian traffic chaos.
1. Spiderman Police
Sometimes, electrical wires don’t stay suspended on their poles, combining this with traffic underneath and you end up with congestion. However, this was the perfect time for our friendly neighbourhood traffic officer to step in and save the day. The video has been making rounds online gathering praise for the brave and sporty officer, likening him to the web-slinging superhero. Climbing onto a lorry to dislodge the dangling cable. After the stuck lorry was free, he stayed on top of another to keep the wire from trapping other vehicles with help from another colleague.
2. Python Rescued Off Busy Road
Snakes simply just belong in the “large yikes” category, but a man got off his motorcycle to help the snake off the tarmac. It took a few attempts but a man with a stick managed to get hold of the snake and place it inside what looked like a motorcycle pannier. The reptile was found all curled up in the middle of a two-lane road near a speed bump, seemingly lost after escaping the shrubbery.
@hypemsia A motorcyclist stopped traffic near Taman Setiawangsa to safely remove a large python from the road. Using a stick, he carefully moved the snake and secured it in his motorcycle pannier. Instead of leaving it behind, he delivered it to the fire department. 3. Double-Parking Meltdown
Parking is not easy, and parking in a rush is even harder. Sensible citizens would leave a number or be near their vehicles to let any trapped vehicle out. However, humans are not sensible all the time, as a middle-aged man went into a tantrum when being confronted with double parking. The viral video showed a dashcam’s perspective of two men arguing over parked cars on a busy street, with written accusations of menacing stares, aggressive finger-pointing, and “I don’t care if you waited 20 minutes!”
