Gotta Have ‘Em: 2 New Drops From Timberland x the Apartment & Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS

Rugged and playful. These are the words that best describe the two new footwear drops we’re highlighting today.

From solid and fuzzy boots, to colourful trainers – these two lookers withstand rough play!

Timberland x the Apartment Vibram Mash Field Boot GTX

Known for its rugged apparel line, Timberland has joined forces with Japanese retailer the Apartment to create yet another stunning footwear collab: the Vibram Mash Field Boot GTX.

This is not the first time the two brands have joined forces – and each time they do, they create magic. Built up from the success of their previously sold-out collaboration, the Vibram Mash Field Boot GTX comes in a two-tone look of a dark brown body with dark green accents.

The brown, hairy suede body has been built from the ground up featuring GORE-TEX materials, waterproofing it and giving that rigid and durable feel. On the other hand, those green panels are made with a soft canvas for visual and textural contrast.

For comfort, the boot has an ultra-soft padded collar. The footwear features a D-ring lacing system and a pebbled leather finish for additional detailing. All of these are built upon the ultra-durable Vibram traction sole, providing a secure and comfortable wearing experience.

The Timberland x the Apartment Vibram Mash Field Boot GTX retails for ¥36,300 (~RM1,060). These boots are made to order, so if you want a pair, visit Timberland and the Apartment’s official websites.

Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-DS Trainer 14

As they enter their seventh year of collaboration, Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS have maintained their innovative spirit. By creatively combining earth tones and striking accents, Kiko Kostadinov has reimagined the ASICS GEL-DS Trainer for their most recent joint release.

Each of the four vibrant colourways – “Waterfall/Lichen Rock,” “Desert Camp/Piquant Orange,” “Dark Mustard/Truffle Grey,” and “Midnight/Purple Oxide” – presents a gradient-like impression with eclectic appeal through the interaction of colours, patterns, and textures.

The upper features a variety of synthetic fibres combined with ribbed, woven, mesh, and rubber accents. The lacestay, which extends beyond the tongue in an asymmetrical loop, is a distinctive feature to watch out for.

Retailing for US$140 (~RM620), the Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-DS Trainer 14 can be purchased through ASICS’s official website as well as select retailers beginning 8th February.
