The advantage of eCommerce for the development of the developing nations is powerful. However, because of poverty and under development issues most of these nations are not benefitting much from this business technology. After the case, if they can work on it, they can make high progresses and then can leap frog their economies. Effective and satisfactory results will be implemented if and only if all concerned bodies work together. One of the major concerned bodies is the government. Thus, I would like to indicate some points what governments in these nations, as one major concerned body, can do in order to change the situation.

1. Driving eCommerce policy and law

In most of the developing countries, laws that govern commerce did not treat electronic transactions. Electronic signatures are not legal. There are no laws to govern eCommerce disputes, data privacy and eCommerce tax issues. Thus, governments in these countries should drive laws and policies in order to facilitate the activities of electronic commerce. The establishment of eCommerce laws and policies is the basic and mandatory step to do online business. Therefore governments in these nations should prioritize this task for the advancement of eCommerce.

2. Giving public services online ( e-government )

How the government itself uses eCommerce has a determining factor for the growth of the industry. If governments use the Internet to give public services, the society will adapt itself with the technology easily. This greatly affects the advancement of Electronic way of doing business in the developing countries.

3. Supporting online ventures

To help the growth of eCommerce in the developing nations, online ventures play vital roles. They are among the major players of the industry. Thus, governments should support these ventures through different ways such as facilitating loans, organizing trainings, and the like.
