The way that companies deliver information to us has changed radically in the last few decades. No longer do we simply receive product and service details. Now, businesses are in the business of delivering content to us that enriches our experiences and enhances our loyalty to their brand. It is generated both at the corporate and customer level, and maximized exposure as well as enhances certain brand values.
Take Michelin, for example: They are of course known for tires. But they’re also know for reviewing and rating various restaurants across the world. It’s the perfect intersection of who they are what they want you to do. And those reviews—known as Michelin stars—are known the world over as reliable and trustworthy.
