Did you hear? Apparently, Apple has kicked off the process of recruiting staff members for their upcoming retail store in Malaysia! In case you didn’t know, the rumours of the first-ever Apple Store in Malaysia first emerged earlier this week.
Twitter user Fazli Halim uploaded a picture on the social media platform depicting, what appears to be, work being done at the Tun Razak Exchange complex, or TRX for short. The photo posted shows staff working on a brightly lit Apple logo, while surrounded by scaffolding.

Although nothing has been set in stone as of now, it seems like Apple may soon be launching its first-ever retail outlet in KL. Another user on Twitter who goes by the name @techsupremo revealed that Apple has recently listed several new job openings under the Apple Retail Store category in Malaysia.
According to the official Apple website, there are currently 13 listed job vacancies currently available. The list includes:
- Senior Manager for Apple retail
- Manager for Apple retail
- Store Leader for Apple retail
- Operations Expert for Apple retail
- Business Pro for Apple retail
- Business Expert for Apple retail
- Technical Specialist for Apple retail
- Expert for Apple retail
- Creative for Apple retail
- Genius for Apple retail
- Area sales manager for Sales and business development
- Carrier Account Manager for Sales and business development
As seen in the listings, it seems that Apple only listed 11 out of the 13 available vacancies yesterday (
Thursday, 15th December). All of the positions mentioned have stated that the jobs offered are available for “various locations” within Malaysia.
To date, there are only five Apple stores across the Southeast Asian regions – Three in Singapore, and two in Thailand.
