Girls’ Generation (SNSD) member Yoona (윤아) recently became a hot topic online over her most recent appearance in public. On 25th November, she attended the 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.
As seen in a few photos posted on social media, it appears that Yoona has gained quite a lot of weight, which was a drastic change from her appearance in public last year. The matter was also discussed by netizens on the online community post Nate Pann.
One netizen uploaded a post titled, “YoonA’s current situation after gaining 8kg,” along with photos of the female idol taken from her appearance in the award show. The article had since garnered up to 210k views and about 600 upvotes. During the event, the “Forever 1” singer appeared looking stunning in all-white ensemble. Putting a modern twist on the look, she also wore a cropped top that was beautifully formed into the shape of a flower’s petals.
The netizen then added in their post, “(She looks) more beautiful. There are a lot of people who appeared looking more mature (than their age) because they lost weight on their faces (as they get older), but YoonA looks much younger and slimmer, so she’s really pretty.”

Following that, several K-pop fans also chimed in the conversation to share their thoughts. In this case, many couldn’t help but praise Yoona’s healthier and more glowing appearance. Some of the highlights include:

Back in September, the “Big Mouth” star revealed the reason behind her recent weight gain. She said, “I put on some weight for my appearance in the drama ‘King The Land’. I wanted to switch up the image that I had, so I tried gaining weight. I tried to work out regularly and tried harder to eat more. I’m not sure if it’s the eating late-night snacks due to filming at night but I did succeed in gaining weight.”
