Episode 11 Kuala Lumpur!
Malaysia Day 3, Video series part 2.
We began Day 3 by sleeping in way too late! Our comfy and cozy little away home, (Birds Nest Hostel) in China town was amazing.
Our first goal for the day was locating some parts and repairs for our technology that has been taking a beating during our travels. (RIP Gopros) We located an IT mall just outside of the Lot 10 area and we were blown away when we entered. Not only did it have everything that we were looking for, but it had some of the best tech repair guys I have ever seen working on every floor!
After walking that area and seeing all of the surrounding expansion we headed home to rest our feet and get ready for the evening!
(FYI)- why we never have morning food scenes or lunch is because we only eat in the evenings from 7pm to 11pm. I know it sounds crazy but it’s our way and for now, it’s working! Combine that with editing and our day basically begins when the sun goes down.
Food street is next level, and we enjoyed every minute of it. Now, I’m not claiming by any stretch that this is the “Best” food street in Malaysia, (because I haven’t tried many others YET), but it is awesome!
The street performer did not speak any English when I asked him for his links and media but sang in English wonderfully! I promised him I could at least get him 4 to 5 seconds so here he is! if you know him tag him!
After our delicious meal and drinks and a nice long smoke, we hopped up and made our way to the Shawarma and Gyro corner of that area.
There were so many amazing spots and like I say twice in this video, EVEN A YEAR HERE, IS NOT ENOUGH time to experience everything that is KL.
After walking and checking out a few more bars and areas from the sidewalk we decided it was time to head back.
After a quick cab ride home (trains were shut down this late) We got to walk through China town with literally no one around which was a huge difference than when we left. Super cool and kind of creepy. haha
We were still wired from the day so Alyssa and sat down upstairs in the common area and played one of my favorite games. Texas hold-em Poker! after 5 years of teaching her. The student became the instructor, and she took me for it all! Hehe, I love it!
We have a big day tomorrow. We need to head to a major bus terminal to find our tickets to get up to the mountains and (hopefully) find some really epic Extremes! So stay tuned!
