44

We are at the KL Birdpark in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. The KL Bird Park may not be the World´s Biggest Bird Park but it is home to the world’s largest free-flight walk-in aviary. Located in the Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens area the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is only a 10 minute drive away from the Kuala Lumpur city centre. The KL Bird Park is open daily from 9.00am to 6.00pm including Public Holidays and School Holidays.

Join us (Maxi and Maro) for a full tour through this amazing Bird Park. This was our second visit to the KL Bird Park and we will without doubt be back for a third visit next time we are in Kuala Lumpur. Watch the video to see why the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park (Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur) is one Kuala Lumpur´s Top attractions. If you are looking for things to do in Kuala Lumpur this is one of the attractions not to be missed.

Wiki writes about the KL Bird Park (Taman Burung), “A gated attraction, Kuala Lumpur Bird Park (Malay: Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur) is a 20.9-acre (8.5 ha) public aviary in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is a popular tourist attraction in the country, receiving an annual average of 200,000 visitors. It is located adjacent to the Lake Gardens within a KL green lung in Bukit Aman, close to the National Mosque and Royal Malaysian Police Museum. The Bird Park houses more than 3,000 birds representing more than 200 species in an enclosed aviary…”

What a BIG and beautiful aviary! Such a nice treat to see so many exotic birds in one place. Hard to imagine that the weather would be hot and humid in December! I bet you both enjoyed resting with a cold refreshing beverage. Thanks for bringing us along during your visit at the KL Bird Park. Best always to both of you in the week ahead. Ron

Hey there, I just can't imagine how excited myself being exposed to so many exotic yet endangered beautiful bird species. It's a real surprised that the bird park management has done such an awesome job of very well maintaining the largest enclosures bird park in the world.

Beautiful vid!! Can't get over how crisp your vids & pics are 😍. We've watched this one twice now, stunning birds and foliage. You guys crack us up too! 😂 "watch this middle age couple biking around on a bloody hot sunday" so funny 😁.
The "sleeping" owl looked comatosed 😅, wondered if it had passed on! Lol. Great trip report though guys, you never let us viewers down with content, it's a great balance you achieve 💕 xx

I've visited 'Birds of Eden' in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. They have quite a number of 'tame' parrots that people have donated, so don't be surprised if they land on your shoulder, as happened to me there. Would definitely recommend a visit there. They also have a restaurant inside, where some of the birds might steal your food if you're not careful, heh!

The bird enjoying the coconut at the cafe is an Ibis. You see loads of them around Australia. They're known as bin chickens there for obvious reasons.
