Lambretta Showcases Elettra Electric Scooter At MAS 2025

Italian brand Lambretta is showcasing its fully electric scooter, the Elettra, for the Malaysian market at the ongoing Malaysia Auto Show (MAS 2025). The company has a long-standing history in Malaysia that dates back to the 1950s and 1960s, where it first gain popularity. Known for its distinctive design and retro appeal, Lambretta became a favourite among Malaysians for its style, reliability, and functionality.

The all-electric Elettra that was teased during the MAS 2025 is expected to make its official debut next year. In terms of design, the electric scooter features a hydraulic rear end that lifts automatically. Other design features include the hexagonal-shaped LED lights, T-bar handles, and semi-blue light strips that are fitted along the body lines of the scooter.

The rear end of the Elettra features sculpted panels that give it a sleek, aerodynamic look while effectively concealing the rear wheel. This design element not only enhances the bike’s futuristic appeal but also contributes to a streamlined silhouette. The seat adopts a floating design, suspended cleanly above the bodywork. Notably, the compact seat size and absence of passenger footrests suggest that the scooter is intended for a single rider, with no provision for a second passenger.

However, there was no information revealed about the powertrain of the Elettra. Nevertheless, we found that the model that was shown at MAS 2025 will be produced as the high-end variant, which will be limited to a number of units.

The expected price for this would be GBP50,000 (~RM285,980). As for Malaysia, there will be some changes made to the Lambretta Elettra before it is introduced officially next year.
