PETALING JAYA: The Prime Minister’s Office will hold daily briefings that are broadcast live, to ensure the public receives accurate and credible information directly from official sources.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s senior press secretary, Tunku Nashrul Tunku Abaidah, said the PMO will explain current issues, important policies, and the latest developments during these daily briefings.
“This is an important step in countering the spread of slander and misleading fake information within society,” he said in a Facebook video.
“This initiative is also in line with the Madani concept, which upholds transparency between the administration and the public, while cultivating the practice of verifying information through reliable and accurate sources.
According to Tunku Nashrul, during Ramadan, Anwar will visit various ministries to engage with civil servants. He said this will include a brief talk on religion that will be delivered by the prime minister and invited speakers.
“The programme aims to strengthen values such as honesty, discipline, and responsibility among civil servants,” he said.
He added that Anwar will also visit several states during Ramadan to strengthen cooperation between the federal and state governments, and hold breaking of fast events with local communities.
Tunku Nashrul said the PMO believes that clear communication, transparent administration, and strong spiritual values are crucial in building trust between the people and the government.
Further details regarding the dates and specific locations for each event will be announced soon through official government channels.
Tunku Nashrul said the PMO encourages all citizens to participate in these events as a sign of togetherness and unity.
