At the ground floor, there is a linear progression across the living room at the entrance then the flow dramatically pulled towards the Lanai with the private garden as the backdrop which also the catalyst for natural lighting. The Lanai looks out to a neatly landscaped mini garden shaded by the graceful golden shower tree complete with a gentle fountain in the middle. These compositions of natural elements bring out the sense of visual therapy to the occupants which they called it as their own private sanctuary.

At first floor level, the client requested to extend their master bedroom with a balcony. Based on our study and observation, most fully open balconies for landed houses are not in use due to privacy and security reason. This kind of balcony is usually left unused.
Lies beyond the master bedroom is the private balcony which is designed specifically to answer the above issues. The balcony was design to act as the extension of the room rather then a different entity altogether. The space is cloaked with series of louvres that functions as a screen to ensure the privacy and security of the bedroom. This reinterpretation of balcony design does not only making the space fully functional but transforms the whole dynamic by blurring the line between indoor and outdoor space.
