Taiwanese actress Joe Chen (陳喬恩) recently held her long-awaited wedding ceremony with her Malaysian husband, Alan Chen (曾伟昌), at a resort in Langkawi. The stunning celebration was attended by some of the biggest names in Taiwanese entertainment, including actors Ming Dao (明道) and Joseph Chen (鄭元暢).
Days after the wedding, Joe continues to share beautiful memories from her special day. However, one particular set of pictures caught netizens’ attention – the door gifts the couple prepared for their guests. Given that the guest list for the wedding ceremony included some famous faces, it’s no surprise that Joe and Alan prepared some equally impressive wedding favours.
According to the photos, the door gift included products from renowned French skincare brand La Mer. The gift set appears to be the brand’s “Genaissance de la Mer” collection, which can cost over RM5,000 per set. The box was also engraved with Joe and Alan’s name, meaning the couple would’ve paid extra for that added personal touch.
Guests also received another gift set, which consists of products from several brands, including a mask from luxury skincare brand EviDenS de Beauté and two fragrances from French perfumery L’Artisan Parfumeur. A quick check online shows that these three items alone cost over RM2,000. The set also included a mini flower bouquet and two lipsticks engraved with the couple’s name. Joe and Alan also included a thank you card to show their gratitude for their guests on their happy day.
Many netizens have reacted to the wedding favours, expressing awe over what was in the set. Some also said they were jealous of those who received it, even jokingly asking if they could have a set. Many also praised the couple for their great choices, noting that the brands are well-known. Others continued congratulating the couple on their recent ceremony, wishing them lots of love for years.
