Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% Adds An OLED Display; Costs More Than Full Variant

Razer launched both the BlackWidow V4 Pro as well as the V4 75% last year. Now, the company has something that is serves as an in-between for the two in name, but in fact costs more than both of them. This is the strange case of the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75%.

As with the model without the Pro in its name, the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% comes in hotswappable mechanical switches of the brand’s own Orange variety. These can be removed for three- or five-pin switches of your own, but otherwise it has all the trappings of a custom enthusiast keyboard. This includes pre-lubricated stabilisers, and two layers of foam.

The way the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% differentiates itself from the model launched last year though is having its two media buttons and roller swapped out for an OLED screen, with what the brand calls a Command Dial next to it. The pair gives you access to things like PC metrics and keyboard status info, or just custom animations or audio visualisations when not in use. Overall, it’s very reminiscent of the ASUS ROG Azoth Extreme.

Unfortunately, this looks to have come at a cost for the HyperSpeed Wireless tech, as the Razer Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% only goes up to 4k Hz polling rate, as opposed to the previous 8k Hz. Perhaps not quite making up for it, but the new model now supports Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity to three other devices. Also making a return is the wrist rest.

Finally, we get to where things get a bit weird. While it is listed on the brand’s Malaysian site, it doesn’t come with a price tag attached. It’s also unclear when it will actually be available, but a local rep tells us that it is coming soon. For what it’s worth, in the west, the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% is priced at US$299.99 (~RM1,292), which is more than the full-sized model.
