Alongside the two foldables, the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 and its Classic variant were also revealed during the company’s Unpacked event. The base and Classic variants come in two sizes each. In the same vein, you can choose models that have only Bluetooth connectivity, or those that also get LTE support.

Before we get into all of that, let’s start with the spec sheet, as we usually do. The two sizes for the base model Samsung Galaxy Watch6 are 40mm and 44mm, which are about as standard as they get. The Classic variants are 3mm larger, measuring in at 43mm and 47mm instead, with the extra space being taken by the rotating bezel. Beyond this difference, they are effectively equivalents of each other.

This means that the smaller models of both the regular Samsung Galaxy Watch6, alongside the Classic variant, come with a 1.3-inch 432 x 432 Super AMOLED always-on display. The larger ones, on the other hand, come with a 1.5-inch 480 x 480 Super AMOLED always-on screen instead. It’s pretty much the same story with the equipped battery, rated at 300mAh and 425mAh, which translates to 30 hours and 40 hours of use respectively.

Regardless of their sizes though, there are some items on the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 spec sheet that are universal. This includes the Exynos W930 chipset, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, and the One UI 5 Watch overlay. The sensor set is pretty similar to what the preceding model had, as the BioActive Sensor, which consists of an optical heart rate sensor and a bioelectrical impedance analyser, makes a return. Alongside it are an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyro sensor, a light sensor and a geomagnetic sensor. All of these pare packed into a shell that has IP68 and MIL-STD-810H ratings, as well as a 5ATM rating.

As for its feature set, most of the things offered by the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 and its Classic variant will be familiar if you’ve extensively used its predecessor models. Sleep tracking makes a return, with the company saying that there is now in-depth analysis of sleep score factors. Things like Sleep Coaching also make a return, as does the ability to measure body composition. Also improved is the heart rate tracking, with what is claimed to be a new feature called Personalised Heart Rate Zone.

With the official unveiling, Samsung Malaysia has also revealed the prices for the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Classic. To start, the Bluetooth-only version of the 40mm Samsung Galaxy Watch6 is priced at RM1,099, with the 44mm model getting a RM1,199 price tag instead. Then there’s the 43mm Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic, which has an asking price of RM1,399, while the 47mm version costing RM1,499. LTE models have an RM300 premium across the board.Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic
