We were front and centre as Huawei launched two new smartwatches in Malaysia – the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series and the HUAWEI WATCH 5. The WATCH FIT 4 and FIT 4 Pro are slim, stylish, and packed with fitness features like GPS tracking, over 100 workout modes, and even water sports tracking. The Pro model adds extras like golf course maps, freediving mode, and premium materials. Both models also track your health and even your mood, with up to 10 days of battery life.
The HUAWEI WATCH 5 takes things further with advanced sensors, gesture controls, and top-notch design. You can reply to messages, make payments, stream radio, and even check prayer times – right from your wrist. The watch also has advanced gestures optimised for productivity and convenience, thanks to an NPU in the SoC, while also featuring an advanced suite of health monitoring and fitness tracking for making the most out of your day. Infinix GT 30 Pro Launch
Ever feel the need for more power? Well, we found ours when Infinix unveiled the GT 30 Pro – a powerful mid-range smartphone built for serious mobile gamers. It features a 144Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 8350 5G chip, and an advanced cooling system for smooth, all-day high-frame-rate gaming. The phone also debuts the GT Trigger – built-in touch-sensitive shoulder buttons for faster, more precise gameplay control.

Samsung AI TV Line-up Unveiled
Samsung Malaysia unveiled its 2025 lineup of AI-powered TVs and soundbars, and, most importantly, introduced Vision AI – a smart platform that learns user habits and adapts in real time. With gesture controls via Galaxy Watch, personalised visuals, and smart home integration, the TVs are designed to be both entertainment hubs and intelligent home companions.
The range includes high-end Neo QLED 8K models, artistic Frame Pro TVs, and immersive Q-Series soundbars with wireless surround sound. With SmartThings support and energy-saving features, the devices promise a seamless, connected experience. If you’re quick, pre-orders run until 1st June with exclusive gifts. FILA Echappe VC V2 Collection Launch With Mimi Lana
FILA introduced the latest Echappe VC V2 Collection, where balletcore elegance meets gorpcore edge, and we were among the first to set our eyes on the new line. This bold yet graceful collection blends the delicate poise of ballet with a rugged and contemporary attitude, defining a new era of modern femininity that honours women who embrace both softness and strength. Taking centre stage at the launch was celebrity Mimi Lana, the face of the campaign.
The event was a stylish celebration of creativity and self-expression, featuring a rotating music box photobooth, custom accessories workshops, and a whimsical gelato station inspired by the collection’s colour palette. Adding an exclusive touch to the chic affair, the first 100 guests received exclusive FILA goodie bags to elevate the experience with a sense of premium flair.

Le French Festival 2025: A Year of Arts, Film & Oceans
Le French Festival is playing the long game this year. Instead of cramming all the French goodness into a few weeks, the festival now stretches from March to November – giving every event its own spotlight. Whether you’re into Francophone authors, French films (“The Count of Monte Cristo,” “Linda veut du poulet!”), concerts, family workshops, or even digital art in November, this festival’s basically a year-round cultural playlist.

Penang: 22nd May to 1st June
Johor Bahru: 29th May to 1st June
Laurent Elisio Bordier of AFKL says this spread-out format helps each programme shine and ties in with ocean conservation ahead of the UN conference in Nice. Artistic Director Mathilde Tallin is hyped about the film lineup, while AF Penang’s Michel Gonçalves calls it a celebration of connections – between art, language, and people.
