It’s been rumoured recently that Samsung wants to integrate Galaxy AI into its Galaxy A series devices, though, there has never been any confirmed indication before from the South Korean conglomerate to update its mid-range devices with generative AI. This would be a big leap for the company to include such features as it was mainly built for higher-end models and its processing power.
The Galaxy AI suite is predominantly featured on higher-end devices, the Galaxy S24 series being the first lineup to ship out with it. To that end, it supports generative AI features like Call Assist, Photo Assist, and Circle To Search, all through the One UI 6.1 update announced earlier this year in March.
Sources say that Galaxy AI will eventually expand throughout many mid-range Galaxy models, starting with some of the new Galaxy A series in 2024 like the A35 and the A55. Notably, it would only be integrated once these models’ software upgrade to One UI 6.1.1, which may occur in the next couple of months or so.
It should be noted that not all Galaxy AI features will be available on the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55, which isn’t all that surprising. After all, it’s a standard practice to reserve some features and tools for high-end models but at this stage, details about which specific AI tools will be included or excluded are not yet available.
FOr that matter, no other Samsung devices were mentioned and again, there is little information on the subject matter.
