Owning a Porsche has been a dream for many. Well, that dream can become a reality through Porsche Malaysia’s showcase at Bangsar Shopping Centre from 21 May to 25 May 2025.
The showcase features a curated selection of pre-owned models approved by the automaker itself that you can buy. According to the company, these models have gone through a comprehensive 111-point inspection by trained technicians to ensure they meet the brand’s high standards for performance, safety, and quality.
Additionally, the models come with a 12-month warranty and are fitted exclusively with Porsche Genuine Parts. Based on a statement from the automaker, the line-up includes EVs, SUVs, and sports cars.
The showcase will also feature the Porsche 963, the model used in prestigious racing events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours of Daytona, and 12 Hours of Sebring. Visitors will have the opportunity to get a close-up look at a replica of this racing icon during the event.
The 963 draws its lineage from the iconic 956 and 962, sporting a hybrid powertrain centred around a 4.6-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. Enhanced by Twin Van der Lee turbochargers and a hybrid electric system featuring components from Bosch and Williams Advanced Engineering, the 963 delivers 670 horsepower at 10,000 RPM.
Engineered within a lightweight chassis of just under a tonne, the car incorporates advanced hybrid energy recovery and a specially tuned pushrod suspension for optimal performance. A pneumatic seven-speed sequential transmission, redundant brake circuits, and hybrid energy recovery directly from the engine’s bell housing further highlight the car’s cutting-edge design.
Meanwhile, round 3 of the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia (PESCM) will be held during the showcase from 24 to 25 May. This qualifying round will see the top 10 sim racers across all categories competing for a coveted spot in the final race, which will take place alongside the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia race weekend at the Sepang International Circuit.
