The following export product groups categorize the highest value in UK global shipments during 2019.
1. Machinery including computers: £56.62 billion (US$73.3 billion)
2. Vehicles: £39.16 billion ($50.7 billion)
3. Gems, precious metals: £32.75 billion ($42.4 billion)
4. Mineral fuels including oil: £31.98 billion ($41.4 billion)
5. Electrical machinery, equipment: £22.01 billion ($28.5 billion)
6. Pharmaceuticals: £20.85 billion ($27 billion)
7. Optical, technical, medical apparatus: £15.37 ($19.9 billion)
8. Aircraft, spacecraft: £14.13 ($18.3 billion)
9. Organic chemicals: £9.81 ($12.7 billion)
10. Collector items, art, antiques: £9.5 billion ($12.3 billion)
The United Kingdom’s top 10 exports accounted for over two-thirds (69.6%) of the overall value of its global shipments.
