Everyone expects their wedding to go smoothly without any issues, but often, that’s not the case. Local influencer Yee Fei (宜霏) recently held her wedding ceremony in Bali – and revealed the shocking incident during the event.
Yee Fei tied the knot with her husband, Jsen Lim, in 2021 but only recently held their wedding ceremony in Bali, Indonesia. Several well-known content creators attended the wedding, including Jestinna Kuan, Christinna Kuan and Chang Yong. The couple have also shared images and videos from the event, revealing that the wedding ceremony proceeded without any issues – that is, until the part where fireworks randomly exploded near the couple.
According to the video shared on the influencer’s Instagram, the couple stood by the altar when fireworks suddenly went off behind them. It’s believed the fireworks were part of the event but had accidentally set off before the pre-set time, which surprised the couple and the guest. Many guests even started moving away out of shock from the explosion. Meanwhile, Jsen stood protecting his wife by pulling her into an embrace.
Thankfully, no one got injured, but Yee Fei admitted to feeling a little panicked during the moment. In her captions, she also wrote about the unexpected incident, saying, “Maybe this is “perfection in imperfection”. Just like our feelings, we experience storms, twists and turns, but we will still hold each other and guard each other. These fireworks are a test from heaven and a blessing that makes us more determined to move forward.”
Yee Fei’s reaction to the fireworks earned praise from netizens, who applauded her for looking at the positive side. Many guests also said they were shocked by the explosion but were thankful that no one got hurt. Netizens also expressed relief that the incident wasn’t too serious. On the other hand, some praised Jsen for immediately protecting his spouse during the incident, saying his action was proof of his love.
