Pavilion KL has many attractions, even being one of the places where you can go to get a snowy experience in Malaysia. However, instead of receiving a wintery welcome, this Xiao Hong Shu (小红书) user was greeted with fire.
User @/我不是数学家 recently posted a video, showing some of the mall’s Christmas decorations catching on fire. In the video shared on 9th December, the user mentioned that they had been waiting for the snow show to start at 8pm. However, when the time arrived, a fire started at one of the Christmas decoration outside, causing panic amongst visitors.
Unfortunately, due to the crowd surrounding Pavilion KL’s fountain area, the security was unable to reach the fire’s location and failed to put it out. Thankfully, a brave woman near the front managed to get a hold of a fire extinguisher, and swiftly put out the fire, keeping everyone safe before it could spread further.
In her post, the user gratefully thanks the woman who helped out. The comments section also praised her as well, saying that it was good that the brave woman had a sense of survival, and acted quickly. On the other hand, some expressed their disappointment in the crowd for pulling out their phones and taking videos, rather than helping to put out the fire.
Despite the short scare, it’s good that everyone turned out to be safe. We’re glad for the woman who reacted with her quick thinking, and made sure everyone was alright. Whether they were using their phones or not, it’s good that no one got injured, as fires have the potential to spread very fast – but what would you have done in a situation like this?
