There’s no denying that BLACKPINK’s Lisa (리사) is in her world domination era. Not only is her solo album “Alter Ego” doing very well, but her TV appearances on “The White Lotus” and at the recent 97th Academy Awards have elevated her star power in Hollywood.
The singer has been busy promoting all her projects, and in her latest interview, she shared more about her early life, her career, and her latest project regarding “The White Lotus”. Here are the things we learned about the star:
Yesterday (Tuesday, 4th March), WSJ. Style posted their interview with Lisa on their official YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed was “Rockstar”, the first single off her new album, where the Thai artist revealed what she considers the most ‘rockstar’ thing about her. “I’m a car lover. I have a few dream cars, so if I really want a specific car, I will just go ahead and ‘ka-ching’,” she said, before adding that she’s no longer a reckless driver as she once was.
As one of the biggest stars in the world right now, it’s natural to be curious about how it all began. The BLACKPINK member recalled her very first performance during her childhood at the age of 3. “It was in school; I was about 3 or something, and I wore a traditional Thai outfit. It was a dance performance. My teacher would always put me in the front row of the group because I was not shy,” she explained.
Lisa has previously discussed her audition process for the latest season of “The White Lotus”, where she plays the character Mook, a resort staff. Over the years, many stars have revealed that they took at least one thing from the set as a souvenir – a prop or a costume.
So, what did the “Born Again” songstress take home after she had finished filming? The answer is… her character’s nametag from her uniform. However, she wished she could have brought home the performance costume she wore.
When asked about the most memorable moment during filming, Lisa recalled the opening scene where the White Lotus staff waved to the people on the approaching ship. “It was so hot that day, and I had to run for three hours under the sun. My mum was on set as well, and she was like, ‘I feel bad for my daughter,’” said the BLACKPINK member.
