Visit The Gardens Mall, Where The Festival Of Lights Has Come Alive!

Deepavali is just around the corner, and The Gardens Mall is ready to celebrate the festivities with cultural performances and decorations. However, those aren’t the only things to look forward to as The Gardens Mall has based this year’s kolam design on a very sacred element of Hindu and Indian culture.

Head of Marketing for The Gardens Mall, Gabrielle Tan-Helfman shares, “Last year, the mall highlighted the significance of the saree. Another year, we focused on the seemingly humble clay pot, the purna-kumbha. We believe highlighting different elements each year helps deepen the appreciation and understanding of Indian culture that some might not know about.”

As one of the most recognisable symbols in Hinduism, the cow has been chosen by the mall to be the central figure in this year’s Deepavali celebrations. According to Hindu scriptures, the bovine animals are the reincarnation of human souls and considered sacred, above human souls. Many Hindus consider cows to be like mothers, who nourish their children selflessly, without expecting anything in return.

Visit The Gardens Mall from 11th October to 3rd November to experience a truly festive Deepavali celebration and learn more about this beautiful animal and its connection to the religion.
