vivo V50 Listed By Local Retailers Ahead Of Malaysian Launch

vivo is set to launch a new mid-range smartphone called the V50 this week. While the company has yet to reveal the local pricing, the same can’t be said for local retailers, as several have already listed the phone for pre-ordering with price tags to boot.

The V50 will be offered in two variants, namely one with 256GB of storage and another with 512GB of storage but with 12GB of RAM each, retailing at RM1,999 and RM2,399 respectively. Notably, these are the exact same price points at its predecessor, the V40. As of now, it is unknown if the brand plans on also introducing the V50 Lite during this week’s launch event.

Spec-wise, the upcoming mid-ranger sports a 6.77-inch 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a global peak brightness of 1,300 nits, and curved edges. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and is powered by a large 6,000mAh battery that supports 90W charging.

On the imaging side, the camera is tuned by Zeiss and is made up of a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. To learn more about the phone, you can check out our hands-on of the vivo V50.
