An excavator which was brought to the landslide search area in Batang Kali this evening. Seven excavators are being used in the search for 9 missing victims.
BATANG KALI: Rescue teams at the campsite tragedy here are determined to work until 4am to find the nine remaining victims of the landslide that occurred at Father’s Organic Farm.
Hulu Selangor police chief Suffian Abdullah, who is the search and rescue commander, said they will take a break after that, and continue at 9am.

He said six excavators were being used in the search efforts, with 135 personnel on site. “Our focus is on all three sectors of the site,” he said. A seventh excavator was brought in later tonight.
The death toll from the landslide stands at 24, with nine others still missing. A total of 61 people survived the landslide, which took place at the three campsites at the farm.
