If you’re on the hunt for sneakers that turn heads and spark conversations, you’re in for a treat!

From Drama Call’s Manchester-inspired adidas Superstar II to Gallery Dept.’s artsy Vans Authentic, these kicks bring the heat. Here’s why they deserve a spot in your collection!

Drama Call x adidas Superstar II “Head North”

Blending hometown pride with streetwear finesse, Manchester-based label Drama Call teams up with adidas Originals to deliver a fresh take on the Superstar II. The “Head North” edition is more than just a sneaker – it’s a love letter to the city, drawing inspiration from Manchester’s iconic Metrolink system and urban culture.

With bold teal accents mirroring the city’s trams and a Manchester map subtly imprinted on the insole, this pair ensures that every step carries a piece of home.

The design keeps things sleek with a black leather upper, but the details are where the magic happens. White interiors, laces, and heel tabs create a clean contrast, while striking teal Three Stripes make the sneaker pop.

Drama Call’s signature star motif takes center stage, appearing in intricate perforations between the stripes, subtle accents on the heel and tongue, and even within the shell toe itself. The artistry extends to the translucent outsole, where a graffiti-style star pattern adds an edgy, street-ready touch.

For those who love a mix of heritage and hype, this sneaker nails the balance. The silver star-shaped hangtag gives it a refined finishing touch, reinforcing Drama Call’s signature aesthetic. Whether you’re a die-hard Mancunian or just someone who appreciates a standout design, the “Head North” Superstar II delivers in both style and storytelling.

Released on 22nd March, the sneaker debuted at a pop-up event in Manchester. It may still be available through online resellers or Drama Call’s website.

Gallery Dept. x Vans Authentic

Gallery Dept. is back with another eye-catching sneaker collaboration, this time reworking the Vans Authentic with its signature artistic flair. Featuring a multicolour paint-splatter design over the toe, this release feels like a wearable canvas – blurring the lines between fashion and art. Set to drop on 27th March, this might just be the most sought-after Gallery Dept. sneaker yet.

The design channels the same DIY aesthetic that made the brand’s ASICS GT-2160 a massive hit in 2023. But this Vans collab brings new details into the mix – subtle distressing on the midsole, bold red “Art That Kills” logos, and yellow Gallery Dept. tags on the canvas upper. The off-white base and classic blue foxing stripe nod to Vans’ timeless style, but the added details make it feel like a true collector’s piece.

What sets this pair apart is its mix of raw creativity and classic skate shoe appeal. The paint splatter gives it an effortlessly cool, worn-in look, while the black Gallery Dept. logos on the insole add a finishing touch. It’s not just a sneaker – it’s a statement.

Releasing for US$150 (~RM710), this collab comes with a noticeable price jump from standard Vans Authentics, but given Gallery Dept.’s cult following, you should grab yours via otw.vans.com and select retailers worldwide before they disappear.
