Entering the ranks of electric scooters in Malaysia is the 2024 Zeeho AE8 S+, priced at RM18,888, join the Zeeho AE4, priced at RM6,999. Pricing does not include insurance and a two-year or 20,000 km warranty is provided against manufacturing defects.
Imported into Malaysia by MForce through CFMoto Malaysia, spare parts for the Zeeho AE8 S+ are available online and at authorised CFMoto dealers. There are two colour options offered – Starship Silver and Eclipse Silver.
Designed for urban use, the Zeeho AE8 S+ comes with a mid-mounted electric motor with belt drive to the rear wheel. The motor is rated at 5 kW with a peak power output of 12.5 kW, with three ride modes – Eco, Street and Sport.
Power comes from a pair of lithium-ion batteries, rated at 69 volts 27 Ah. This is good enough to power the Zeeho AE8 S+ from zero to 50 km/h is 2.6 seconds with a maximum speed of about 100 km/h.
Suspension is done with telescopic forks in front and preload-adjustable shocks absorbers in the rear. Wheel sizing is 12-inches front and rear, shod with 100/80 front and 120/70 rear tyres.
Braking uses a four-piston calliper on the front wheel clamping a 220 mm disc while the rear wheel gets a 190 mm disc with single-piston calliper. Two-channel ABS is standard equipment.
Riding conveniences include cruise control, USB-A and USB-C charging ports. Weight for the Zeeho AE8 S+ is listed as 133 kg, while seat height is set at 785 mm with 152 mm of ground clearance.
Riding information is displayed on a 5-inch TFT-LCD instrument panel with Bluetooth connectivity to the rider’s smartphone using the Zeeho Ride app. This allows users to track and lock their Zeeho AE8 S+ remotely, while the ECU utilises over-the-air updates without the need to visit a Zeeho service centre.
