BMW has unveiled official images of the G87-generation M2 CS, an even more performance-focused derivative of the M2 coupé that was updated last year.
Shown at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the G87 M2 CS can be seen to wear a more aggressive set of bodywork alterations compared to the ‘regular’ M2, with a front splitter extension, CS-style front grille inserts, CS-style multi-spoke alloy wheels, and a prominent bootlid spoiler, among others.
Weight reduction is also part of the CS theme, with lightweight trim specifications likely to feature. In a partial image of its interior, ‘CS’ badging can be found in the cabin, along with what appears to be a different centre console aft of the iDrive controller, which in current CS models has seen the omission of the central storage compartment.

Technical specifications for the G87 M2 CS have yet to be disclosed, though this is expected to be forthcoming last this week when the manufacturer reveals more about the high-performance coupé.
As a baseline, the 2025 M2 is powered by BMW’s S58 3.0 litre twin-turbocharged inline-six cylinder engine that outputs 480 hp at 6,250 rpm and 600 Nm of torque from 2,650 rpm to 6,130 rpm, and so in CS form these numbers can be expected to grow further.
Given the typical progression from a standard, or Competition model to a CS form, as with the M3 Touring, a likely specification is an uprated version of the existing engine to produce slightly more power. Given the model hierarchy, the M2 CS should output numbers slightly below the 550 PS and 650 Nm of the M3 CS.
