PETALING JAYA: Some 257 people from 77 families in Sabah have been evacuated from their homes after a fresh round of floods hit the Bornean state today.
Telupid was the worst-hit with 251 people evacuated to four relief centres in the district, according to the InfoBencana portal as of 11pm.
The district of Paitan also saw some floods, with a family of six forced to flee their home. The floods followed continuous heavy rain in the two districts.
East Malaysia was hit by floods last month, with thousands in Sarawak forced to evacuate and Sabah seeing hundreds relocated to shelters.
