The Gods of footwear have just dropped a windfall!

From the dopest trail running shoes, and premium sneakers in GOLD; to trainers giving a nod to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games – we’re trying everything on for size!

HOKA’s Stinson EVO OG Running Shoe

Nothing ever keeps a good running shoe down. That’s why the French-based brand HOKA is reviving its beloved Stinson EVO OG sneakers in an all-new colourway. Before HOKA became the familiar brand that we all know and love, it was obscure and received little notice, and it was during that time that the brand created the Stinson EVO OG, which became their premiere trail running shoe.

One of the shoe’s iconic features is its unmistakable chunky look, courtesy of its thick midsole, which gives you unparalleled comfort and durability. The Stinson EVO OG also brings back its stunning Zero Gravity Technology, which is a series of stacked rubber soles with a striped appearance. Pair this up with the shoe’s curved MetaRocker-shaped outsoles, and you can easily launch yourself straight into first place.

Despite their bulky appearance, these shoes ensure that you’ll have extreme breathability, letting you run comfortably.

To celebrate its comeback, the HOKA Stinson EVO OG will be available in Habanero Red, which is mixed with its textile upper, creating a fluid stripe with a contrasting white. The lining, tongue, toggle laces, toe cap, and midsole feature hints of black. And to fully complete the “habanero” look, you can find some lime green accents at the underside of the outsole, for that bold contrast.

The HOKA Stinson EVO OG will be available for purchase on 2nd August at HOKA stores and various retailers. Visit its official website for more.

Golden Goose’s Marathon Shoes In All Gold

With the Paris Olympics now upon us, the luxury brand Golden Goose decided to unveil its signature Marathon shoes in a limited-edition all-gold colourway. Inspired by the track-and-field aesthetic of the ‘70s, this design blends the past with a contemporary feel, making it as nostalgic as it is trendy.

Updating the shoe for the modern age means that it needed some upgraded materials. Firstly, the runner-style uppers of the Marathon shoes are made from a combination of materials such as nylon, Nappa leather, and nubuck. They also feature a 3D-printed spoiler on the heel that takes them into the future.

The brand is commemorating the competition’s 100-year return to Paris with a variety of physical activations in addition to paying tribute to the Olympic legacy with the limited-edition gold colourway version.

Golden Goose also announced the debut of its podcast series, Game Breakers, which explores the most iconic career breakthroughs in sport, sneaker culture, art and more. The podcast was recorded in the brand’s flagship store in Paris Saint Honoré, with the interior designed to resemble a retro sports bar. To further enhance the immersive experience, the brand is holding a special sport-themed Co-Creation in a few select stores. This customisation opportunity allows customers to personalise their purchases with unique sport-themed pins, patches, and handwritten drawings to create one-of-a-kind pieces.

The limited-edition gold Golden Goose Marathon sneaker is available to purchase in select stores and online.

adidas Forum ‘84 Low Paris Olympics

Unlike the previous entry, which only pays homage to the Olympics, adidas is taking a much more direct approach with its latest drop – from the name all the way to the design – with the Forum ‘84 Low Paris Olympics.

The shoe has a simple design and is mostly made in the traditional colours of camel, light grey, beige, and white. The leather upper is classic white, some upper details are light grey, the rubber midsole is beige, and the rubber outsole is touched by a camel.

The French flag colours that touch the iconic adidas three-stripe detail in suede fabric are where the Olympic theme is incorporated. The adidas logo has a subtle gold tint added as a finishing touch, which may be a reference to the highest medal in any Olympic sport.

The adidas Forum ‘84 Low “Paris Olympics” is priced at US$120 (~RM556) and is set to release on 1st August. Cop a pair through adidas and select retailers.
