Wrong to say Gaza ceasefire would plant seeds for next war

The Foreign Affairs Ministry has announced Malaysia’s deep regret that the United Nations Security Council failed to adopt a resolution demanding an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza because of a single veto by the United States.

In a statement today, it said the fact that the draft resolution had received significant support from 102 countries, including Malaysia, was a testament to the international community’s desire to see an immediate end to the assault on Gaza.
