Local influencer Aisyah Hijanah recently dropped a bombshell, revealing that she has filed for divorce from her husband and business partner, Alif Teega. The couple have been the subject of public scrutiny in recent months after they were arrested for embezzlement.

According to a local news outlet, Aisyah filed for divorce at the Gombak Timur Syariah Lower Court in Ampang. The 26-year-old wouldn’t share many details about the divorce but revealed that she decided to separate from Alif in August. Aisyah also denied that the separation was caused by a third person. However, it’s public knowledge that Alif has a second wife. In the meantime, the Hijanah founder asked for support and understanding from the public amidst her divorce.

Aisyah and Alif tied the knot in 2017 and have three children together. The two went viral on social media in late 2023 after Alif revealed that he married another woman while his first wife was pregnant. The couple was then hit with allegations that they publicised their marital affairs to gain sympathy from the public and promote their modest wear and self-help book businesses. Most recently, Alif and Aisyah were arrested for suspicion of embezzling funds donated to their company. They also received backlash for their response to the arrest, with many calling them out for taking the issue lightly.

It’s unknown whether the embezzlement case or Alif’s second marriage was the reason for the divorce. However, Aisyah continues to be active on social media, sharing positive messages with her followers. On the other hand, Alif kept mum about the separation, instead posting about Hijanah’s new stores and his children. Netizens have also reacted to the pair’s recent posts, showing mixed reactions.
