Who would not want to play a Marvel Superhero or Supervillain? There has to be an alternate, unpruned timeline where different celebrities play different roles in MCU. The possibilities are endless!
In this reimagined realm, maybe there was a different Wolverine or a different Black Panther. Maybe if the stars lined up, there might be a chance we catch a glimpse of what it could be like in our boring dystopian universe.
1. SZA as Storm

She sings like a storm and wants to act as one too. SZA has expressed interest in playing the weather-controlling mutant. Having stated in a talk show interview with Kendrick Lamar and Keke Palmer.
SZA has always had an interest in superheroes because her father collects first-edition Marvel Comics, such as Thor and Silver Surfer. With such OG energy, it is only fitting that she sees herself playing Storm in an origin story film. Stating “…like she comes from this whole other place where it’s like the jungle (the plains of Kenya)… I think that would be so gnarly if I could be Storm (in an) origin story. I love to bring the range.”

2. Michael B. Jordan as Black Panther

After the late Chadwick Boseman’s heartfelt portrayal of T’Challa, Marvel decided to honour his memory by not recasting the role of Black Panther in “Wakanda Forever.” However, reports from within the studio suggest that, may finally change after 5 years.
Through the magic of the multiverse, Marvel may explore a new interpretation of the mantle in the future. This could also serve as a convenient explanation for why T’Challa looks like his former nemesis. Jordan may be able to play his childhood dream role in honour of Boseman.
Keke Palmer as Rogue

Rogue made her way into discussions online in 2024. We got a taste of how letting mutants who were overshadowed by Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine could shine in the X-Men ’97 animated series. Keke sees big potential in the character and has made efforts to get it out there to her fans and the studio; she wants the role. She has shared shots of her Rogue cosplay, and even stated in an interview she was “ready for Rogue.”
Matthew McConaughey as The Hulk

You may have caught Matthew’s recent debut in Deadpool & Wolverine as the voice of Cowboy Deadpool, although the actor has dreamt of bigger roles. Cowboy Deadpool had a few lines before his multiverse variant of the Merc With a Mouth fought Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.
A few years ago, McConaughey actually reached out to Marvel to play Bruce Banner before Mark Ruffalo got the role. Having past enjoyed Lou Ferrigno’s The Incredible Hulk series, maybe his passion could come true if multiverse magic works its way through.
Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider

Ryan Gosling has been just about everywhere, from a dystopian sci-fi future to the pink plastic Barbie universe, the “Driver (2011)” actor has a two-wheeled dream: Ghost Rider, the flaming demon skull-headed biker dude that whips people in half with a flaming chain. Although his name has surfaced in discussions around other Marvel projects like Nova, talks with Kevin Feige did not shut down any hope of finding a place for Gosling in the MCU.
