JBL has introduced the latest addition to its over-ear headphones lineup in Malaysia, the Tour One M3 Smart Tx. The brand showcased the flagship product during its City of Sound Roadshow at One Utama Shopping Centre, alongside the Flip 7 and Charge 6 Bluetooth speakers.
To start off, the headphones themselves come with 40mm Mica Dome drivers as well as ANC capabilities powered by a system of eight microphones. They come with a built-in DAC for lossless audio when using a wired connection, either through a USB-C cable or a 3.5mm jack. Wireless connection is handled through Bluetooth 5.3 with LDAC support.
The highlight of the Tour One M3 is the inclusion of the Smart Tx audio transmitter, which can connect to any USB-C or analog audio source, allowing the headphones to be fully wireless. It sports a touchscreen display that allows users to manage controls such as music playback, calls, as well as EQ settings. Additionally, the transmitter can be used to broadcast audio to an unlimited number of Auracast devices.
As for battery life, JBL claims that the headphones offer 40 hours of music playback with ANC enabled, and up to 70 hours with the feature turned off. Moreover, a quick five-minute charge will net an additional five hours of playback. The audio transmitter has a battery life of 18 hours.
According to JBL, the Tour One M3 Smart Tx is only available in one colour, which is Black. The headphones can be purchased from the brand’s online store for a price of RM1,899.
